SHE Thrives Retreat Application

The SHE Thrives Retreat is a restorative and empowering experience created specifically for Women Veterans.

Through meaningful connection, peer support, shared experiences, engaging workshops, and opportunities for reflection, participants are invited to reconnect with themselves, build community, and explore new pathways toward wellness and growth.

At Camp SHiEld, we believe healing happens in connection. Whether you're seeking rest, renewed purpose, deeper relationships, or simply time to focus on yourself, we are honored you're considering joining us.

As part of the application process, you'll be asked to complete a series of questions, surveys, and share more about your goals and interests. These reflections help us better understand participant experiences, support retreat planning, and evaluate the impact of our programs over time.

Application Review

Please complete all sections of the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered during the review process.

Applications are reviewed by Camp SHiEld staff to help ensure participants are a good fit for the retreat experience and to support a safe, meaningful environment for everyone attending.

Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to us.

Information shared through this application will be kept confidential and used only for retreat selection, participant support, program planning, and evaluation purposes.

Selection Process

Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot at the retreat.

Selected applicants will be notified approximately four weeks before the retreat, with additional invitations extended on a rolling basis, if space becomes available.

If space is not immediately available, your application may be placed on a waitlist and reviewed as openings occur.

The Retreat Is Just the Beginning

The SHE Thrives Retreat is the kickoff experience for a community integration journey, designed to foster connection, reflection, and personal growth among peers.

Throughout the experience, participants will have opportunities to engage in:

Cohort specific workshops and activities
Peer Support - 1:1 & Group Based
Resource & Referral Navigation
Community events and engagement opportunities
Future Camp SHiEld programs and events

Commitment Fee

To confirm participation, selected applicants must respond within 48 hours of receiving an invitation and complete any required follow-up forms, along with a $50 commitment fee per participant.

The commitment fee is fully refundable upon arrival at the retreat.

Because retreat spaces are limited, cancellations and no-shows will result in forfeiture of the fee and may impact eligibility for future retreats.

Travel Information

Airfare is not provided.
Participants traveling by personal vehicle may be eligible for mileage reimbursement of up to 200 miles each way. Reimbursement details will be shared with selected participants prior to the retreat.
