WONDER WOMAN WEDNESDAYS

PEER SUPPORT

Wonder Woman Wednesday Character.png

NOW TWICE A MONTH!

The first Wednesday at 11 AM (CT)

The third Wednesday at 6 PM (CT)

As women, we sometimes tend to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. Work, kids, in-laws, significant others, friends… sometimes it’s as if there isn’t enough of us to go around!

It’s impossible to be everything to everyone and YOU ARE NOT ALONE in feeling the stress.

Wonder Woman Wednesdays is a place to gather online with your peers and share experiences without judgment. Some weeks will feature planned topics for discussion and others may be a session full of our Women Vets who just need to vent in a safe space. Regardless of the weekly topic, it will always be a forum to connect with your sisters-in-arms with similar experiences and backgrounds.

Connections are the key to healing and recovery! So, grab your favorite beverage and join us!

Camp SHiEld’s Peer Support Groups provide Women Veterans with an open, safe and secure environment to connect with and learn from fellow Veterans in their local community on a regular basis.  These support groups meet regularly for one hour. To ensure the safety of our Women Veterans, our peer support groups are limited to Women Veterans, and we do not release the location of these groups.

We plan to expand to in-person in Houston, San Antonio, Lubbock, and possibly Killeen.

“The Peer-to-Peer support groups have helped me tremendously. Just being able to get together with people who have been through what I’ve been through and can relate, is powerful.”

– Woman Veteran, Army, 6 years served
